PIETA (2012)
by Kim Ki-Duk
★★★★★
Like eating a raw flesh of meat, Pieta is gorgeously crude and deliciously perversed. I love the story, the way it's presented, and how the brutal imagination of minds can be developed into a creative storytelling. This film is a paradox of violence since the brutality is pleasant to watch because of its unpleasantness. The twist in the story arch is interesting and the overall movie is a splendid visual treat.
