Midnight. Two and a half hour of musical extravaganza. Though I'm tired from my midday weight training program, Les Misérables is interesting enough to not let me fall asleep. The songs are nice to hear (except the one that Hugh Jackman sung in high pitches - quite annoying), the cast's performances are splendid, and the classic plot is well written. The musical staging, along with the live recordings, is simmering with imperfection, which shows me a unique live theatre experience in cinematic language.
