Gending Sriwijaya is practically a Chinese martial art film being copied in Indonesian storyline. Unfortunately, it is not a good copy. From the ridiculous typo in the early credits to the inconsistent fake six abs of Agus Kuncoro to the unsuitability of Shahrul Gunawan as the royal prince, Gending Sriwijaya shows me flaws between flaws. Everything about it seems rushed and not complete. Since the story and the dialogues are far from being interesting, I think Gending Sriwijaya is a gending (chant) of mess.
